Hi! :)

Yeah your work is great! I have quite a few myself that I'd like to do but currently I am overseas, away from my own computer. Since seeing most of you works, I decided to start working on my stuff again as soon as i get home! ^_^'

f

Thanks.......I think. o_0

I was looking at his wikipedia bio and noticed his quote. I found it funny so I used it.

f

Want I meant was to put my computer specifications in my signature, since there are a lot of threads of people wanting others computer specifications.

f

I don't want to discourage you when we have our debates if you think I am then I apologize.....you do bring up valid points worth discussing and I really don't want you to stop voicing your opinions about it. Anyway, I just wanted you to know that I believe you are a decent person and I have added you to my friends list......if you didn't mind. ^_^'

f

Hey.....
I read your latest post (Should President Bush Be Impeached). I remember you were a moderator once, however you seem awfully good at clarifying facts from fiction pretty good. Although we don't see some issues eye to eye, I enjoy the intellectual confrontations. But to hear you not posting for a while for certain reasons ( been avoiding the forums because of the sheer amount of ignorance and frivolity radiated by many of its denizens........) on here was a bit disheartening. I think that there should be a voice of reason in these types of forums simply because there are a lot of fresh, young minds that can be easily corrupted by the intellectually challenged.

I, for one, prefer you visit MT a little more often. Some people on here can drive you nuts, but that's what you have friends for. :)

Quote by LigerZSchniderAt the moment I am using TKS Snap....... since I am in Germany. I don't know what ISP I will be using when I move to California.......

Howdy!

I saw this and had to smile. I was at Spangdahlem AB for 2 years and for internet, the choices were either TKS or Deutsche Post. I went TKS because I didn't feel like translating Deutsche Post bills from German to pay them.

OOC what connectivity are you getting where you are? My house was in pretty much the middle of nowhere, and I'd be getting between 20-30k down a second- it was pretty bad. Of course, I figure dial-up would be even worse from there. Now I'm in Phoenix and getting 100k up, 300k down and I'm like, cool!

Hope you don't mind my spam. Peace out!
:pacman:

Its around 54.0 Mbps at the moment..... don't know if that is a good thing or bad thing......I haven't reall checked my connections speed, as long as I can surf and play PS2 games online! ^_^' I'll be headed in that direction soon, I hope that it is as fast as it is here! :)

Quote by Devildudehey man, just asking you, what are your views on the whole 9/11 fake thing anyway?
It is kinda pissin me to no end when people started pointing fingers before even considering.
Am I doing it wrong by actually writing responses there?

My views on the 9-11 matter is simple........ terrorist did it, no more.....no less. If anything the Government is to be blamed for is failure to recognize all the "red flags" that went up years prior to the event, and the subsequent delay that killed thousands that should have killed less than a hundred.

A couple things bothered me:

Pilots during flights normally leave their doors closed. In the event of a hijacking, their primary responsibility is the protection of passengers and crew. Therefore their job was to inform the tower of a hijacking, turn around and land, regardless of the situation. However no communications where transmitted, warning of a hijacking. Why did they open the cockpit door? One plane I might can understand, but ALL 4 planes? At least the casualties would have been kept to a minimum.....I may sound callous, but in order to save thousands of people, sacrifices must be made; such case in the flight over Pennsylvania.

And secondly, the terrorist were trained to fly passenger jets, by aviation schools here in the US. In fact most pilots around the world are trained by the US. This was something I mentioned earlier, about the allowing of visas to enter the United States for various reasons, and they are many! These terrorist were allowed to go to aviation schools in Florida, where they learned how to fly, all paid for by Al Qaeda. They leave after their visas expires and then later they return into the US, this time to kill. No background checks were ever made, because their origin was from a country that wasn't on the US "watch list", Saudi Arabia. The funny thing is that the US was aware of the anti-US sentiment that was in Saudi Arabia long before Operation Desert Storm, or Saddam's invasion of Kuwait. Why weren't individuals from this region further scrutinized?

I hate to admit to this, for I am Black, but the US needs to develop some form of "racial profiling" when it comes to non-US residents. Although it is ethically and morally wrong, I think that its something that should be taken into consideration. After all, if you don't have anything to hide, then you shouldn't mind the questions, right?

Quote by Bumble-BeeHello, it's me, Bumble-bee, again!
Just want to ask, when you were in Iraq, based on what you witnessed, what were the women soldiers there doing? Didn't they participated in some spec-ops or only did usual patrol or what? What the heck did they do there?

Thanks.

They didn't do any spec-ops, cordon searches, of routine town patrols. Those were left to the guys do to the routine and frequencies of the searches. However they did run logistics, which they had their fair share of IEDs and ambushes, and pulled guard duty. This was just additional duties besides their normal duties, or jobs they had. Women in the military police also pulled convoy escort details, heavily armed vehicles that guarded other transport vehicles when they travel from base to base.

Quote by LigerZSchnider[qu(...) title tells everything. Do you know the meaning of the colors, images, or writings encarved in your national flag? Well, our flag consists of two horizontal colors (similar to Monaco's), red (meaning 'Valor') and white (meaning 'Sacred'). A little simple (even very simple) for us, but that's it.

I wonder why you ask this then later, wonder if burning your flag is acceptable? :\

I am just dying to know why. If anyone knows what the flag colors represent, then you must have some sort of pride for your country. But you ask is burning your flag, which you put in time to know all about, is acceptable?

Don't you think that this is a double standard? :\

First of all, thanks for commenting my threads! It seems that you're a patriotic person, just like me! :)

My friend, in that thread, if you look closer, I (mainly) talked about burning another country's flag as sign of protest and anger. So you see, I'm not using double standard here. You usually protest about another country's stupid actions toward your country, right?

Yes! I'm proud of my country. Even though it's rotten to the root in this very moment, I keep believing that someday it will recover, awake from ruin, and become a great country. And to let you know, in my country, insulting the flag can be serious problem, you know?

BTW, is it really you in your profile's photo? Cool! Gosh, too bad I'm not an soldier type

Yeah that's me when I was Iraq last year....figured I post a pic of myself to give some people here an idea of who they are talking to....

I wasn't a "soldier-type" either, was an aspiring architect and I need to make more money (was still in school at the time). It isn't a bad job, I like it, however, when I return to the states (in Germany now) I'll pick it back up and finish it. Give me something to do when I retire in 6 years...... :)

Once again thank u for the backing :) i also would like to salute you for serving our country. I do not at the moment, iIwill be going to college soon but i seriously looked into the Army reserves and it is still a path i may take in my life but for now it is college. do you still serve today or have you retired?

Sorry it took so long....didn't know you wrote again! OX

Yeah I am still serving, I have about 6 years left until I retire! :) If you was thinking about joining the Army Reserves, then the best advice I can give to you is try the Air Force first! I like my job and all, but if I had to do it over again, it would have been the Air Force. The Army Reserves is great decision though; it gives you a chance to see how it is, with that option of quitting without the hassles of being in the Active Army. However the choice is yours...............

f

Hadn't seen you around for a while........wondering whats up with ya. Anywho, jut dropping in to sat hi! :)

f

ROFL.....

That's it! You're on me watchlist!

Oh the attitude........gotta love it! :)

You in the military too? What branch, if you don't mind? It shouldn't have surpried me, judging from your past posts, but it did.

Anywho....... it'll be fun debating with you........

f

Craps.....

Didn't take a look in my Guestbook again, sorry! ^_^' I am in Germany at the moment, preparing to return to the US......Been here for three years and I am ready for some things to do. I don't know the German language that well to get out and do things so, I will be glad for this change of pace. As far as this forum is concerned, I can handle these "newbies". What I don't understand is that most of these people have a common interest, but are so bent out of shape when it come to the state of affairs of the world, namely about my country. However given the same opportunities we have, they would do the same!

Anyway....enough ranting......

:)

f

Thanks! :) Although I rarely write in guestbooks, I think that it is bad for me to not acknowledge those who do. So I apologize and start with you!

f

Hey....sorry that its has been a while, trying to study for my promotion board and getting caught up in computer games; can't figure out which side is winning! ^_^' Anyway, I am back and forth here (although I don't post much), reading some post and getting "involved" with a few hostile people here. :\ Ethier way, thanx for checking up on me........at least I know someone out there is wondering about me.......... :)

f

Wow............ your wallies are great! And you're cute too?

A definite " must add" to the favorites and the watchlist!

later......... ;)

f

Tag you're it! ^_^'

You have some great pics, so I thought that I see who the artist really was...... ^_^' I think I'll move to Poland! By the way I like the names you gave your dogs! ;)

Thanx for the wallies! :)

f

ROFL! I like that video! Now I can't stop grinning! :D

f

Hiya!

Sorry for peeping at your page but I get curious of pepole who makes interesting threads............I like your page, thought I went to another website at first! ^_^'

Seen your photo and you're quite attractive.....would be better if you smiled. :) Maybe its the guys you are attracted to who treats you that way? I don't know.......

You gotta excuse me...I've been in the catnip again! :nya:

Anyway, nice page, pretty face, I gotta go........later!

f

The wireless system is already inside the PSP.......It can either be used to play head-to-head with other PSPs or access the internet. The thing is that you must have a wireless router at home, or you can scan your area to see if anyone else is wireless, then jack into the internet (the later is illegal, but everyone is doing it because nobody really thinks about encrypting their wireless system). The UMD (Universal Media Discs) comes in either games or movies. Your pick. They just started releasing anime (GundamWing: The Endless Waltz is one ) on UMDs, but we have been using the SanDisk Memory Stick Pro Duo to store downloaded movies on. I might get another PSP before I leave Germany, but if not I'll pick one up in the States, doesn't matter. They run about 200 dollars and yes, they will interact with the PS3s!

:)

f

Hiya! :D

Right now I am in Schwienfurt, Germany. In about 6 months I'll be heading to California for a while. I can't wait to get back to the States, myself. ^_^ Its snowing its butt off now and I am glad I went and got those snow tires! Now all I have to do is put them on........

Man, the PSP is awsome! It can play movies (by eitner UMD discs or on a memory stick), music or music videoes, and surf the net (with a wireless access port though). And of course, it plays games...... I might buy another one, because I treated this one a little rough! It can interact with certain games on the PS2, like SOCOM 3 and Gran Turismo and will be able to intergrate with the PS3 when it comes out! I have all the Playstation platforms now (PS, PS2 & PSP ) and I am waiting on the PS3 to come out.

Well gotta go.....see ya around! :D

f

Nah....thank you! I am a new fan of the series, so I started adding them as well. :)

Quote by angelicfairiejust wanted to comment on the question you've put up in the city hall thingie.
well i could tell you one great reason why we all should be sex sensative but what's the point really in telling you the reason because you wouldn't take heed of the warning.
so my decision is to not tell you the reason because you wouldn't care and on top of that you would tell me a bunch of reason why it is safe to have sex.
so i'll just let you know that i care about all of you who are doing whatever you want. do whatever you want, but know this. everything comes with consequences and you might think it's an old thing to say or whatever. yet it still rings true for this and every generation that comes here after.
you will not have a right to say "oh, this person didn't tell me" or "oh, my parents never told me about that" or "they never spoke about it in school"
i will encourage the adults in this world to let all of you youths to trample and fall upon each other.
you will then come crying to your parents or kill yourselves all because you didn't believe in what people have been telling you.
just because you go to the doctor and you get vaccinated so that you wouldn't have any viruses or sicknesses doesn't me squat.
nothing of man can protect you. not one person should depend on man's hands unless they've been guided by God's Spirit.
i know you all don't care about that, but one day you all will come to see that the truth was always there for you and He has always wanted you to come home.
that's all i have to say concerning this topic.
any questions or comments however filthy you can pm me.
i have patience for people with nastie mouths.
God bless you and keep you safe

Well put......... :) that guy above me really ticked me off! Tried my best to reply without cursing though...... XP

Quote by TSPhoenix Seriously there is very little you can't find in the open source community, so now is the time to go legal, and while your at it more reliable, safe and customisable half of the time.

And piracy is not the reason software costs so much, it is because companies have to pay and if they need Office XP, Microsoft can charge whatever they like, home users don't matter. Ever wonder why microsoft software is so easy to copy, so you do copy it, then everyone uses it so everyone saves in microsoft formats so everybody else needs to get compatible (read Microsoft-brand) products. Instant Monopoly.

Copyright exists to promote innovation, not to prevent theft (fact: read US congress documents). Patents exist for sustainability of a person's idea and fair allowance from them to benefit from their own work, fair enough. Allowing users to install software on only one computer is BS, who the hell is going to buy three copies of office, so I got OpenOffice does the job and occasionally better, somethimes worse and to do my bit I contribute back to the community wih feedback and bug reports.

See how things work when people work together, great. But look at Microsoft who is now short by quite a few customers simply because it has been trying to make us pay for the same thing three times that others will offer for free.

While I don't like piracy, the big corps need to suffer, or otherwise the'll get away with it forever.

Look at the recent discovery Mark at sysinternals.com found out.
Sony's recent CDs are copy protected, but what you don't know is that when you play them on your PC that the silently install cloaked drivers that are very difficult to remove and open a gaping security hole in your system by allowing other files to use its cloaking routines.

Put it this was, this infection form a Sony BMG CD is worse than most viruses you'll find, and creates a backdoor that viruses can use to hide on your system. Sony KNOW what you are listening to, this app tells them.

I completely agree with you. Anyone who doesn't believe me should READ THIS:

I bought a CD from Sony. The CD: L'Arc~en~Ciel. Their single called "Ready Steady Go". The reason I bring this up: uses a program called LabelGateCD2. When I bought this CD, it was not noted on the site that this CD uses LabelGateCD2 feature. For those of you who don't know about this feature, LabelGateCD2 keeps people from copying it for illegal distribution. That also means that you can't use it on the following programs/machines:

1. iPod
2. Windows Media Player (and all multimedia players)
3. Anything that plays music EXCEPT for basic CD players

The only program that can play this CD is MAGIQCLIP2. A Japanese program that allows you to play LabelGateCD2 CDs on your computer. This was not stated when I bought this CD. The people who put up torrents are people who have experienced the same shit that I did. I fully support BitTorrent because the people who put up the torrents know the dissappointment of losing the fun of watching movies and listening to their favorite music because of unstated usage requirements. I can't listen to this single now. I can only put it on a CD player which is: 1. A hassle to use because I would have to carry that AND my iPod around with me in order to listen to my music, and 2. I can only play the CD on my stereo, which is in the family room of my house, and no where else because my CD player broke. I bought this CD MONTHS ago. I was looking forward to putting the songs on my iPod, but when I found out I couldn't, (obviously) I was pissed and felt like I had been ripped off. Thats why I support BitTorrent. If you expect me to buy all of my music without being fully informed of the usage requirements, FORGET IT! I have been ripped off TOO MANY TIME in my life to be trusting people and companies who aren't clear on usage requirements. If I'm not informed of usage requirements, I WILL look to try to find them out. But, if I can't, I will turn to BitTorrent and hope to find them there.

Now, I have a HUGE problem with the Microsoft Corporation. I bought a computer which had Norton Antivirus on it. I was glad when I found this out, but I had an EXTREMELY old version of the program. Also, the subscription was only for half a year. I had to renew my subscription after six months. That is unfair. Tell me, why should I NOT use BitTorrent if I'm being ripped off (there it is again!)?!

Sometimes, using BitTorrent to download software can be a good thing. I know its wrong, but how else am I supposed to get Naruto episodes 100 on (I'm at 159 right now)? In America, Naruto is probably only, at most, on episode 12 or 13. Thats in English and I watched the second episode. The voice actors suck, the conversations changed a LOT, and I just don't like the fact that you can't even see any blood when they've been stabbed. Its so unrealistic and different from the Japanese version. As a matter of fact, I searched on the Internet for a place to buy the box sets for less than $120, and NO LUCK! Tell me again why I should spend $120 on something that is not even up to speed with the TV launches. Naruto (in box set form) is only up to episode 100, while the TV (and BitTorrent) are up to 159!. Again, I would be ripped off, especially since I have to pay extra for tax and shipping/handeling.

I know it can be wrong, but sometimes it SHOULD be allowed. I can't find a place to buy L'Arc~en~Ciel music videos! How do you explain that? How do I get them if I don't use BitTorrent? There are reasons why you should use BitTorrent. I just listed some of them. Besides, there are so many sites that have BitTorrent, but you don't see them getting sued! MT SHOULD support BitTorrent. Look at the other sites. Besides, if someone complains about MT, then the BitTorrent section can just be removed. No biggie. Everyone gets a second chance. But, I don't run the site and I don't really care if MT gets a BitTorrent section or not. Probably won't ever happen anyway, so I really don't care.

My intent was to explain why I believe using BitTorrent is okay. I think I did okay.

Sorry I made my argument so long.

Sanjay

Hey, there is a way you can beat that. But first, I need to know if your computer has a audio input. Hook me up with that answer and I'll tell you how to get the program to beat it!

Giving the little guys some help................. :)
